
BIOGRAPHY

Hakan Kilman is a London-based trombonist with over two decades of international performance and teaching experience. His work spans orchestral, jazz, chamber, and cross-genre settings, combining refined musicianship with a deep understanding of musical style and context.
​
He has performed with leading orchestras and ensembles across Europe, the United States, and Turkey, including major symphony, opera, and festival platforms. Alongside orchestral work, Hakan is an active jazz and commercial musician, regularly performing in luxury venues, private events, corporate functions, and high-end hospitality settings throughout London.
​
In addition to his performance career, Hakan is an experienced educator, teaching trombone and brass at music schools and conservatory-level institutions, as well as privately in London and online. His teaching focuses on strong technical foundations, musical development, orchestral excerpt preparation, and audition training for conservatoires and higher education.

Hakan holds advanced performance diplomas and degrees from leading European and American music institutions and has worked with internationally recognised artists, conductors, and ensembles.
He is fluent in English, German, and Turkish.
